Description
Created as a tribute to Marshal Francisco Silveira, who received the title of Count of Amarante from Queen D. Maria I of Portugal, as a form of recognition for his performance in commanding military operations against the Napoleonic troops led by Loison during the French Invasions. Among these, the defense of the Tâmega line and also the defense of the Amarante Bridge stand out.
